Welcome to the Official Rules of UKChatterbox.
We would like everyone to enjoy their use of this service, and on the chat section we have divided the rooms into age-groups, and set rules that are the most applicable to the age group in question.
By connecting to the chat rooms you acknowledge that the rules are a guideline – Moderators can remove you for any reason if they feel that it is to the benefit of the site.
Here are our rules for each age group:
Age 13-17 Chat Rooms (Teens & Cellar)
- No swearing whatsoever.
- No inappropriate names.
- Follow staff requests.
- Do not flood.
- No advertising.
- Do not give abuse to anyone.
- Speak English.
- No webcam requests.
- No promotional drug talk.
- No spamming other chatters
- Most mIRC scripts are banned.
Further notes:
These rooms are moderated strictly for your own safety. We advise that any disputes with moderators are to be taken to private message and not displayed in the room.

16+ Chat Rooms (Town/Cities & Society Rooms)

These rooms are moderated fairly strictly; it is worth noting that you must not, under any circumstances, join as a group of people and ‘invade’ other rooms to cause trouble en masse – This will result in a ban from your home room and, in some cases, the site!

In these rooms you must be mature and behave like adults – we do not moderate these rooms strictly and therefore we are trusting you all to behave and follow the rules!

Whoever you are, please take note…
- UKCB operates a strict logging policy in which all chat room activity is logged 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is for security reasons and entirely for your own safety and our emergency reference. Private messages are also logged for security reasons and may be viewed, especially in instances of reports.
- Anyone found misrepresenting themselves, i.e. lying about their age, gender, etc, will be subject to a service ban or suspension.
- UKChatterbox reserves the right to remove anyone without notification and/or reason. This service is a privilege, not a right and UKCB and all staff have the right to remove that privilege.
- UKCB operates a strict ‘no dirty request’ policy in its mainstream rooms. If you are found to be asking for inappropriate types of internet/phone interaction in rooms of any age group, you may face a warning, kick or ban from the room in question
Finally, we ask that you treat other users and all moderators with respect – it’s not asking much, we would like everyone to enjoy their experience on the service and you, as an individual, can help achieve that by simply following the guidelines for the service and the rooms you use.
